Privacy Policy

How Failure Log handles your account, profile, workout, and subscription information.

App policy effective October 1, 2026. Operated by Aryan Singh, India.

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Failure Log, operated by Aryan Singh in India, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Failure Log mobile application and Failure Log Elite features.

By using Failure Log, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information, including your email address, name, account identifier, and authentication information.
  • Profile and fitness information you choose to provide, such as age, gender, height, weight, and avatar preference.
  • Workout information, including routines, workout dates, exercise names, sets, repetitions, weights, notes, and activity history.
  • Subscription information, including product, entitlement, renewal, trial, purchase, and expiration status received from Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
  • Technical and local app information needed to keep you signed in, remember app state, preserve short-lived workout drafts, and show your free-access notice.
  • Messages or information you provide when contacting support.

3. How We Use Information

  • Create and manage your account and profile.
  • Save, synchronize, and display your workouts and progress.
  • Personalize app features and calculate fitness progress.
  • Provide free access, verify subscriptions, restore purchases, and control access to Elite features.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support requests.
  • Improve the reliability and usability of Failure Log.

4. Services That Process Data

We use service providers only where needed to operate the app. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

  • Supabase provides authentication, database storage, synchronization, and account-deletion infrastructure.
  • RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement information.
  • Apple processes App Store purchases, payments, refunds, and subscription management.
  • ExerciseDB services delivered through RapidAPI provide exercise information and media. Requests to those services may include ordinary network information such as an IP address and device request details.
  • Formspree processes feature requests and the contact information included with them so that we can receive and respond to feedback.

5. Sharing and Sale of Data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising trackers or share your workout data with advertisers. Information may be disclosed to the service providers listed above, when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a lawful business transfer.

6. Storage and Retention

Account, profile, and workout information is generally retained while your account remains active. Local workout drafts are temporary and may be removed automatically. When you delete your account, we begin deleting associated account data, subject to limited retention required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or service backups.

Deleting Failure Log from your device does not delete your account. Use the Delete Account option in Profile to request account deletion.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should use a strong password and protect access to your device and account.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • Review or update profile information from the app.
  • Delete your account and associated data from Profile. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription.
  • Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.

9. Children and Minors

Failure Log is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to data processing in their country. If you are a minor, use the app only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent.

10. International Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and the service providers' contractual and legal protections.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Failure Log changes. The revised policy will show a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice.
